The 295 Buck Tempest knife is a full-size, assisted opening knife. Able to be quickly opened with one hand, the Buck Tempest is fast and easy to use. It is similar to but slightly larger than the Buck Rush 290 Series. Skeleton frame handle allows for light weight and interesting aesthetic appeal.

The Buck Tempest utilizes patented ASAP Technology. Buck's ASAP system uses a "dual-pivot" mechanism that has a blade release lever to aid in blade opening. A cam lock safety keeps the blade closed for protection. This lock is handle-mounted next to the blade release lever to allow for convenient, quick one-hand operation.
