Shipping & Engraving - Times, Terms & Conditions

Engraving can be performed on almost any type of material including metal, glass, plastic, leather and wood.

Below you will find many answers to your questions regarding engraving and how long your order will take to arrive.

SHIPPING

Typical Order Timelines Include:

1 business day to process order.
1-2 business days to ship by whatever shipping method you choose.
Engraving adds 2-5 business days.
Out-of-stock items can add 5-7 business days to order processing time. You will be notified if an item you ordered is not in stock.

Standard Shipping:

We recommend UPS as your shipping method. We ship UPS ground for a flat fee of $6.50. Your tracking number will be emailed to you once your package ships. Otherwise, you can ship by Priority Mail through the US Post Office. Tracking is not available with the United States Post office and shipping costs are calculated via product weight.

Oversize/heavy items can incur additional shipping charges due to excessive weight.

Expedited Shipping & Engraving:

Shipping: Need it in a hurry? Please call toll free 1-877-544-0814 to double check stock and to inquire about UPS Next Day Delivery or FEDEX Next Day Delivery. Typical charges are $10-$15 for 2 day and $25-$30 for Overnight on small items.

Engraving: For an expedite fee of $20-$40 (depending on size of order), your order will take priority and will be placed at the head of the engraving production line. Please type in your special instructions and desire to expedite engraving at the Comments section on page 2 of Check Out and a representative will contact you with details if necessary.

Weddings:

We take your upcoming wedding very seriously and handle all orders with great care and precision. If your order is time sensitive we recommend that you tell us the date needed in the comments section during check out. If your order requires expedite services to reach you on time a representative will contact you with details.

ENGRAVING

Initials & Monograms: Regardless of which you prefer, the characters you enter into the engraving area will be engraved in the Exact Order you type them. Initials are engraved in the standard order of first, middle, and last name. For example, John F. Kennedy's initials would be JFK. Monograms are engraved with the first letter of the recipient's last name placed in the center and made larger than the other two letters. Accordingly, John F Kennedy's monogram would be ^JK^F. All Initial or Monogram engraving is done using capital letters regardless of whether you type in lower case letters or not.

Straight Initials: First-Middle-Last name initials are in capital letters and can be used either on the front cover, back cover or inside cover. Note: Initials are placed vertically within the shield area or crest of pocket watches and will have no periods.
Monograms are First-Last-Middle name initials and are available in either Straight, Circular or Interlocking styles.

Note: Perfect alignment cannot be guaranteed on small oval, crests or shields typically found on pocket watch front covers.

Recommendations:

Depending on brand and whenever possible, we suggest engraving on the INSIDE cover of pocket watches. Although this process is more difficult for our engravers, it is the traditional location for pocket watches because it protects the engraving from unnecessary scratches and wear. You can always expect the engraving to be exactly the same quality regardless of the location you choose.

Do Not type in ALL CAPITAL letters using a script font. As you can see by the example, using all capital letters in script creates an unusual result. CORRECT =Script INCORRECT = SCRIPT

Ordering Multiple Items:

If multiple items are to be engraved the same, simply enter the engraving in the boxes provided on the item page - click the order button and then enter the quantity.

If each item needs different engraving, then enter the engraving information for each individual item. Repeat this process for the number of pieces needed.

Multiple Discounts:

In most cases, multiple discounts on items do not include the cost of engraving. However, in some cases engraving is offered free of charge on selected items. If an item is offered with free engraving it will be stated clearly on the item page.

Returns / Guarantee:

We want you to know that if you're not 100% completely satisfied with your order, you may return or exchange the merchandise pursuant to our refund and exchange policy. Items without personalization can be returned within 30 days of purchase as long as they are in new condition in original packaging. Shipping charges are not refundable. Engraving is an irrevocable procedure that cannot be undone and as such is to be considered a Special Order which cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged.

Important Information:

All text is centered and justified within the inscription area. Initial(s) are centered where located.

Changes/Corrections

Please double check for spelling, punctuation and capitalization errors before submitting your order. If you realize you have made an error, call or FAX us right away to make a correction. We may or may not be able to catch this once the order leaves billing and goes to production/shipping warehouse. A change fee of $10-$20 may apply. If an order has already been processed, we may not be able to note your correction and your order will ship as you originally ordered.

California sales tax is added to orders that ship within California.

Gunther Gifts Inc. reserves the right to make minor changes for proper wording, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, placement and spacing when necessary for the most pleasing appearance. If your selections are not appropriate for the area chosen we will email you with our recommendations.
