The 286 Bantam is the largest in the Buck Bantam series with its 3 5/8" blade and closed length of 5 1/8". Even though it is a larger pocket knife it stays relatively lightweight at 3.2 oz. due to the thermoplastic black sides.

The Buck Bantam 286 BHW pocket knife is certainly easy to hand and lightweight. It's slightly larger than the 285 Bantam BLW. The 286 has a mid-lockback design, ridges at the top for added gripping and also a lanyard hole for easy attachment to whatever you desire. Engraving of up to 16 characters is offered on the blade.
